We are happy to usher in a new wave of in-kind donations through our relationship with ACTS Thrift store located on:

Through the amazing generosity of all our donors, we have come to a point in this ministry where weare no longer able to hold specific items forour currentand graduating families. With this newfound relationship with ACTS, we have developed a system of managing these amazing donations to still benefit all Door of Hope families.
For every donation ACTS receives in Door of Hope's name, ACTS thrift store credits us so as to allow our graduating and current families to shop for specific items that are needed within their household. This allows for us to directly impact the lives of these famlies and gives them the opportunity to truly receive their hearts desires.
We so appreciate the wonderful blessings of all donations that come through Door of Hope and we ask that you please give us a call before you make your way down to ACTS as we might have an immediate need for those specific items.

Donating New or Used Items
We greatly appreciate having so many donors who donate new or used items to Door of Hope. We have a small donation center where we are able to organize some clothing items and other small household items for immediate use by the residents or as graduation gifts when residents graduate.
Because of this limited space, we ask that donors call before donating items to see if we have space or immediate use for the items. You may call us at (626) 304-9130.
Items we can always use are:
-paper goods (including toilet paper, paper towels, napkins, etc.)
-toiletries (including bath soap, shampoo, etc.)
-laundry soap
-17 gallon trash bags
Due to this limited storage space, we generally do not accept donations of furniture or other large household items with one great exception. Three or four times a year, when families graduate from the program, it is our goal during the time of graduation to fully furnish their new home from furniture to the smallest of household items. We cannot do that without donors like you. When we have families graduating, we will list their personal "graduation wish list" below for donors to contribute towards.
Note: we generally pick up only furniture and larger household items when we are getting things for graduating residents according to the items on their wish list. If you only have smaller items to donate towards a graduation list, please call to arrange a time to drop them off. Thank you.

Donating Gift Cards
It may be initially interesting to you as to why we welcome Gift Cards of any type of any amount. Gift cards provide a great deal of flexibility for use within the program. For example, we may have a couple who have not been out on a date in quite some time and with a variety of gift cards to choose from - they can use the gift card to go out on a date while we provide child care through volunteers here at the facility. Gift cards can also be used to assist with a resident in purchasing tools or clothing necessary for work - encouraging and equiping them for their jobs. The donation of gift cards from a variety of stores and restuarants in various amounts allow for dreams to be realized and goals to be reached. Please consider purchasing gift cards the next time you are paying for a meal or are checking out at a store.

FARM SHARE DONATES FRESH ORGANIC PRODUCE
Farm Share of Pasadena has donated over $1000 worth of fresh organic produce over the past six months.
We value presenting the life-skill for our families to eat healthy foods and we are therefore so pleased to have this collaboration with Farm Share to provide such healthy food for our meals.
