TRANSITIONAL HOUSING PROGRAM

During a family's stay at Door of Hope, our staff works around the clock to insure that our residents have the best platform for transformation to begin. Through our extensive six to twelve-month program, we aim to take families from the point of homelessness to self-sufficiency to affordable housing. We say, "sacrifice a year, get back your life."

Upon arrival, each family is given a fully furnished room with all the basic amenities such as toiletries, towels, bedding, etc. Along with meeting these basic needs, Door of Hope provides a rent program which includes on-on-one case management and counseling services, marital counseling, men's and women's groups, finance, parenting, and marital classes, job training and placement programs, bible studies, an extensive afterschool program, a fully stocked pantry along with fully stocked fridges and freezers, housing 101, spiritual guidance, and other life skills classes and programs to ensure all our parents have the best environment and resources to be able to break the cycle of homelessness.

We are a program that stresses the importance of family values, financial security, and financial management through budgeting and savings. Door of Hope is also a goal-oriented program with individualized case plans unique to each families needs. It is a true blessing to see the transformation in the lives of families from the time they enter to the time they graduate from the program and we invite any and all who are interested in getting to know more about Door of Hope to contact us an speak to one of our amazing staff members

Thank you for showing interest in Door of Hope and we hope to hear from you soon!

Four Phases of Development

Once a family is accepted into the Door of Hope they begin the program with a probationary period and then work through the four phases of development. As families work through each of these phases, their privileges and independence gradually increase until they are ready to leave within a year.

The program works. I could say how well I did in the program, but I want to say how good the program did for me.
